For nine days in October, the New Mexico skies are painted as hundreds of balloons
lift off from Albuquerque's Balloon Fiesta Park. Nothing rivals the power of Mass Ascension on crisp early mornings as
these graceful giants leave the ground to take their place in the cerulean desert sky.

Meeting at the McDonalds (IH-10W and Ralph Fair Road) at 7:00 a.m.
- Hampton Inn North, 505/344-1555. There is a block of
10 rooms reserved under Corvette Convention 2010 for October 7-10 w/king bed, non-smoking ($125 plus tax). Room rate
includes full breakfast. After Aug 6, the balance of rooms not reserved will be released.
- Hotel for travel to and from Albuquerque 10/06 and10/10 - Hampton Inn

Rate on 10/06 - $119, & on 10/10 - $89.
- If anyone is interested in taking
the tram up to the top of the mountain, check this website, www.sandiapeak.com. Please let Jo know; we can get tickets ahead of time for the ride, and plan on dinner at the bottom of the
mountain after the ride with those that don't want to ride the tram.
- We
can get discounted tickets that include transportation to and from the balloon field and entrance into the balloon
events at the local park and ride (two miles from the hotel). Jo can order these ahead online, also.
- Jo will keep you updated as she is trying to get transportation directly from the hotel. Plan on bringing your chairs
(we will be able to sit in front of the hotel with our cars and can watch the evening fireworks).
